IMDB rating: 7.70 Plot: 1327: after a mysterious death in a Benedictine Abbey, the monks are convinced that the apocalypse is coming. With the Abbey to play host to a council on the Franciscan’s Order’s belief that the Church should rid itself of wealth, William of Baskerville, a respected Franciscan monk, is asked to assist in determining the cause of the untimely death. Alas, more deaths occur as the investigation draws closer to uncovering the secret the Abbey wants hidden, and there is finally no stopping the Holy Inquisition from taking an active hand in the process. William and his young novice must race against time to prove the innocence of the unjustly accused and avoid the wrath of Holy Inquisitor Bernardo Gui. |

Could this older man ever take me seriously? I've never had feelings for an older man?
I’ve become friends with a man who goes to a place I go with my friend most Thursdays.
He’s 38, & I’m 22, but he is very interesting and funny, and he talks to us about everything, & he seems to think we are very similar, that I am very receptive & believes I can read people & that it’s a gift, (his words).
He’s very intelligent and has a very interesting way of speaking.
When we leave, he asks us if we will be back next week. I’m actually starting to miss him if I don’t see him that week!
He has friends with him, but he likes to talk to us (although he’s introduced them all).
The first time I thought he might be interested is when I played some my music to him, and we both love Prince, and he said I had a musical taste like a woman in her thirties. He said we have the same taste in music & we danced outside. He told me that that night made him feel really great.
-He has a 3 year old daughter that he loves very much, but isn’t with the mother.
-He told me he thought I was amazing the time we danced, and lent me his jacket. He said I have nice legs and asked if I dance, and he said I am beautiful before.
-He said inner beauty, being happy is so important, and I have a lot inside to give.
-He offers to walk us home and waved to me while I was in the taxi going home.
-Most of the time, however, we just talk lots.
-He calls me Rose instead of my full name.
-He’s a small sexual joke or two, & when his friend asked if I was cold because I was wearing shorts and tights, I said my legs don’t get cold, and he said to his friend ‘So she doesn’t need you to rub them ok’ and laughed.
-He was talking about his physical fitness and was saying his stomach is in good shape for his age and he told me to touch his belly button? lol.
-He gives me advice on things; last time he asked how things were with me and this guy, and he asked me if I want to be in love, and that I will find love.
-Do you think he thinks about me when I’m not there at all even? I am not sure, because he’s older and his mind is more mature (even though I’m not immature). Could he take me seriously? I wish I had his number, so I don’t have to wonder when will be the next time we meet
What forty year old man wouldn’t want a twenty two year old bit of fluff panting on him? As the wife of such a man, however, I have to respectfully ask that you make sure he’s not married–and wonder why you want to go out with a man old enough to be your father????

lol thats a big gap, i think it be cool to try for it, and if it dnt work you know your not ready for some one that mature, besides your young, i am too i’m eighteen tho little younger but we just need to rave and explore different substances(but not meth, meth is bad), when your older you won’t be able to do it like you can now lol
L.o.k. | Feb 04, 2010
I expect you do make him feel good. He’s flirting and getting a response from a woman/girl 16 years younger than he. That’s a pretty big rush for a guy that’s facing forty!
It seems like, to me, that you’re taking him too seriously. I promise you that if he wanted your number, he’s have asked for it. There’s every possibility that he flirts with whoever is there when you’re not. Try hanging out some place that is filled with guys closer to your age. You might really find a guy you can dream of!

Will they play by their rules? Can it be about more than money? |

how shall i react to my little brother's actions?
i am 16 years old, my brother is 7 years old. we share the same room (unfortunately, this means i cannot lock myself in the room.) he always plays around with my stuff. whenever i talk to him, he ignores me. i try to speak ‘nicely’ to him but that only causes him to get on my nerves. when he gets ‘angry’ he starts to curse, and spit and scream useless ‘bull sh*t’. i have no idea what to do, i try to calm him down but that only gets on my nerves, and to prevent myself from heavy cursing i start to BS and outsmart him. he is self-centered, and thinks that the world revolves around him. he always wants to take and never wants to give. i am not allowed to hit him, and whenever i scream, my parents yell at me and tell me to calm down. it reached the level that i actually wish he was of no existence. now, i feel like just steeling the family car and go to the beach and stay alone. i also feel like beating the sh*t out of something. i try punching the wall in front of him for several reasons (to calm myself down and to make him understand what i am capable of). another thing that happens is that when he does something that he would think would annoy me, i would do the same to him and he gets angrier. for example, he would undo my bed, so i would undo his bed, he would snoop around my stuff so i would snoop around his stuff. i tried ignoring but that only made him worse. i tried a lot of stuff and i am lost.i have no idea what to do. please help me before i explode and do something i will regret badly. by the way, this is just some of the many scenarios that happen between us.
beat him up, let him taste a piece of you. make him realize that you are not afraid of your parents scolding you for beating him. he is a spoiled brat. and by beating him up, not just a punch or two, make him suffer and threaten him. That i did to my brother who was spoiled before i made him realize

Well I can see you have many problems and its good that you have asked someone because you may find you receive new ways of tackling this problem. First you should probably tell your parents, so it isn’t just you against your little brother. Copying him makes it worse because it shows you sinking to his level – and he wants that because he thinks this is just a game. Keep trying the ignoring thing because he will most likely eventually get bored of annoying you. There is a great programme called Supernanny who helps many families one by one to help them make their kids better and more sensible people – many of the kids she help are way worse than how your little brother sounds, so maybe watch some clips of the show and see if you can get any more ideas?
Hope your problem gets resolved =]

Footprints are found in the snows and McNee seems queerly affected the closer they get to their quarry’s likely habitat but the biggest shock to Rollason is discovering Friend is a showman who only intends to exploit their find, with Shelley his gamehunter-marksman. The conflict between science and commercialism only increases when an enormous anthropoid is shot, and the horror only increases as the party realizes the other Yeti intend to retrieve their fallen comrade and have powers to do so which seem extra-human… |

Re: the name of a film?
I seem to remember an action/adventure movie released a few years ago that included, unless I am mistaken, people battling abominable snowmen that were guarding a Himalayan temple. Does anyone know the name of this film as I would like to hire the DVD of it? Thank you.
It sounds like it could be the Mummy 3?

Can I transfer contacts from a broken phone that powers ON to my new one?
Screen broke on my phone so I can’t see my contacts, but phone does power on. Is there anyway Sprint would be able to move my contacts from this broken phone to my new one?
Thank you!
I don’t see why not. They’ll take it to the back room and plug it into their magic device that yanks all of your contacts off and put them on your new phone.
Does your old phone have a micro-SD chip in it that you might be able to remove and put into a reader?

How come there are so many jokes towards Irish & Polish ppl but not other "white" nationalities?
Ok so I know there are many black jokes, mexican jokes and other ethnic jokes. And I do know there are redneck jokes but I’m mainly talking about race/nationality type of jokes. I noticed there really aren’t too many "white" jokes but there are lots of Irish & Polish out there. Why is this? Like do other European Countries consider them not as good or what?? And I know that there are records of blacks being in certain parts of Europe, could this cause there to be jokes since they might not be considered "pure" as some white supremists call it?
british ppl have bad teeth
white americans dwell in trailers and are low IQ rednecks

Most racist jokes are made by white Americans. Type in ‘white jokes’ and you’ll find results that mostly say black, mexican, and asian jokes. If you do find a white jokes it’s usually lame and not funny.

Mission: Engagement in Bologna?
I got a few questions I hope someone can help me with.
I am currently planning a romantic date for me and my girlfriend in Bologna, Italy. It will take place during this Easter (1. april to 6. april 2010) and we will be staying at the Savoia Hotel Regency in San Donato district.
Question 1:
Me and my girlfriend will be arriving at the hotel at different time. Time enough for me to suprise her with a romantic dinner. To make that possible I will be asking the hotel to help me arrange a dinner for us. However, I think I will need to buy flowers myself. So my questions is: Are there any recommended flowershops on the distance between airport and the hotel you can recommend? And if possible, with a internet web page?
Question 2:
I dont know really the Ristorante Garganelli. The restaurant at the hotel Savoia Hotel Regency. I have checked out their webpage (www.savoia.it), read the critics on pages like traveladvisor.com etc. but still: I dont know what kind of dishes to they serve: Is it a gourmet restaurant? Do they have pizza? Or is it a full blown pasta ristorante only?
Question 3:
My girlfriend is a faithfull catholic. My religion is historic old buildings. So we both wants to visit the Pride of Bologna: Chiesa San Luca, up in the hills outside city center. Although as mentioned, for slightly different reasons. So my questsion is: Do San Luca holds any Sermons? And what time during Easter (sunday or monday) will those be held? And is it possible for me to admire the place from the outside during the sermons?
Question 4:
I am going to propose to her in Bologna. And to make that possible I need to buy two set of rings in this most beautiful city: 1. The engagement ring and 2. the wedding rings. My question is: Are there any jewelry stores that sells wedding rings special to this city? I want rings that are not generic for the whole world – like plain gold rings. I want some gold rings with special style for Bologna or the region – if there is! Any recommendatios?
Question 5:
We are ofcource going to see and visit all the obligatory tourist traps in the city – Like Piazza Maggiore. But are there some unknown, romantic spots unknown to the tourists thats definitely well worth the visit?
Questions 6:
Any other recommendations to do and see during our stay? Any information at all is helpful!!
Thanks for your kind help!
Nicco
Sorry but I can only answer two of your questions with any certainty..
Question 1:. Any hotel will arrange flowers for you, just tell them what you would like and your budget. They will either put them in your room or present them to your good lady at dinner. They just add the cost to your account – no problem for them – do it very frequently.
Question 2: Friends tell us the restaurant is very good, a lady Maitre D who speaks reasonable English. Service is very good, attentive yet not overbearing. Menu is diverse with plenty of choices, if your Italian is not too good the Maitre D will be more than happy to assist you. Food is well presented. A 4-course meal for two people should cost you around 70 Euros including wine.

5) ??? not sure

6) no , but good luck
KrazyHorseLuvr25 | Jan 24, 2010
1: your hotel can provide you with the flowers
2: Sorry, I don’t know it
3: during easter there will be plenty of catholic celebrations: probably your girlfriend would like to attend mass on Easter day.
4: I don’t think Bologna has particular wedding rings. In Italy we used the simple gold bands (yellow or white gold) called "fedi". What we commonly do, and I don’t know if it is done abroad as well, is to engrave the name of the groom and the date of the wedding inside the bride’s ring and the same, with the name of the bride, on the groom’s ring. You can pick the width of the ring, thin or thick, but that’s it…sorry!
5. Take her for a walk to santuario della Madonna di San Luca, the one you mentioned, but do it by foot along the 3 km of porticoed street. It is beautiful and quite romantic!

I live in bologna!!
well
1 there aren’t special flowershops
2 i don’t know it but usally u can eat pizza in all the restaurants even if the best place to eat pizza is a "pizzeria" and not a restaurant but remember, in italy pasta is very good in Bologna we have 2 special plates: "lasagne" and "tortellini". search them to see photos
3 in San Luca there are sermons on Sunday
4 we haven’t special rings, u can find rings u like in "via Farini" there are a lot of jwellery but there isn’t a typic bologna’s ring
5 one of the best romantic spots here is San Luca but in the evening cause u can see the whole city with the light but u need a car.
6 send me an email through yahoo answers if u need advice.

Which of/are all of these true?
1. Guys hate sluts.
2. "Hey, are you busy?" or "Are you doing something?" ~ two phrases guys open with to stop from stammering on the phone.
3. Guys may be flirting around all day but before they go to sleep, they always think about the girl they truly care about.
4. Before they call, guys try to plan out a little about what they’re gonna say so there aren’t awkward pauses, but once he’s on the phone he forgets it all and makes it up as he goes.
5. Guys go crazy over a girl’s smile.
6. Guys will do anything just to get you to notice him.
7. Guys hate it when you talk about your ex-boyfriend or ex love-interest. Unless they’re goin for the let-her-complain-to-you-and-then-have-her-realize-
how-wonderful-and-nice-you-are method.
8. A guy who likes you wants to be the only guy you talk to.
9. Boyfriends need to be reassured often that they’re still loved.
10. Don’t talk about your guy friends to your boyfriend.
11. Guys get jealous easily.
12. Guys are more emotional than they’d like people to think.
13. Giving a guy a hanging message like "You know what?!..uh…nevermind.." would make him jump to a conclusion that is far from what you are thinking. And he’ll assume he did something wrong and he’ll obsess about it trying to figure it out.
14. Guys are good flatterers when courting but they usually stammer when they talk to a girl they really like.
15. Guys hate asking parents for money to buy girls presents. So they come up with ideas like saving their lunch money for a week. But it never works because guys are always hungry so they end up asking the parents for money anyway.
16. Girls are guys’ weaknesses.
17. Guys are very open about themselves.
18. It’s good to test a guy first before you trust him. But don’t let him wait too long.
19. Your best friend, whom your boyfriend seeks help from about his problems with you may end up being admired by your boyfriend.
20. If a guy tells you about his problems, he just needs someone to listen to him. You don’t need to give advice.
21. A usual act that proves that the guy likes you is when he teases you.
22. Guys love you more than you love them if they are serious in your relationships.
23. Guys will brag about anything.
24. Guys use words like hot or cute to describe girls. We rarely use beautiful. If a guy uses that, he likes you.
25. Guys think WAY too much. One small thing a girl does, even if she doesn’t notice it can make the guy think about it for hours, trying to figure out what it meant.
26. Guys seek for advice from girls not other guys. Because most guys think alike, so if one guy’s confused, then we’re all confused.
27. Any guy could write out a rulebook or advice book for flirting, but no guy can write out a book about relationships.
28. Try to be as straightforward as possible.
29. A guy has to experience rejection, because if he’s too-good-never-been-busted, never been in love and hurt, he won’t be mature and grown up.
30. If the guy does something stupid in front of the girl, he will think about it for the next couple days or until the next time he spends time with the girl.
31. No matter how much guys talk about asses and boobs, personality is key.
32. Guys learn from experience not from the romance books that girls read and take as their basis of experience.
33. Guys worry about the thin line between being compassionate and being whipped.
34. If a guy looks unusually calm and laid back, he’s probably faking it and is spazzing inside.
35. When a guy says he is going crazy about the girl, he really is. Guys rarely say that.
36. When a guy asks you to leave him alone, he’s just actually saying, "Please come and listen to me."
37. Guys don’t really have final decisions.
38. If a guy starts to talk seriously, listen to him. It doesn’t happen that often, so when it does, you know something’s up.
39. If your best guy friend seems to avoid you or is never around when you’re with your boyfriend, he’s probably jealous and likes you.
40. When a guy looks at you for longer than a second, he’s definitely thinking something.
41. Guys like femininity not feebleness.
42. Guys don’t like girls who punch harder than they do.
43. A guy has more problems than you can see with your naked eyes.
44. Don’t be a snob. Guys can be intimidated and give up easily.
45. Everything in moderation. Put on makeup, wear perfume. Just not too much.
46. Guys talk about girls more than girls talk about guys.
47. Guys hate rejection, but they hate being led on even more.
48. Guys really think that girls are strange and have unpredictable decisions and are MAD confusing but somehow are drawn even more to them.
49. A guy would give his left nut to be able to read a girl’s mind for a day.
50. No guy can handle all his problems by his own. He’s just too stubborn to admit it
51. A gangster-poet is a guys best friend
first make your question MUCH shorter

I think they’re all true for all decent guys in general. Some might be different but even then most of them apply. Lol at 15, hehehe what a stupid thing to do. Though have you noticed that a lot of of these facts, if switched around would apply to a majority of girls as well?

I LOVE all of your boys’ names, except Johnnie. Instead go with John or Jonathan and use Johnnie as a nickname.
For the girls, I like Lily, Lucy, Maggie, Isabel, Mary, Clara, Caroline, Madeline and Molly. I don’t like Sadie, Charlotte, Mabel, or Lorraine. Sadie sounds like a horse or a dog’s name. I just don’t like the others.

I like all of your names for a boy. The only one I don’t like is Johnnie. I prefer saying them as their whole names. If I had to choose I guess I like the names Jack and Benjamin. I love the name Charlotte. I always thought that is a pretty name. I know it is an older name but, I like the older names to be honest. I like Caroline also. Lillie is pretty too. The ones I like the most are Charlotte, Caroline and Madeline. I perfer Madelyn though. It is different.
Deb | Jan 15, 2010
I really like William, James, Jack, Benjamin, Max, Henry, Lily, Lucy, Gracie, Maggie, Clara, Caroline, Madeline and Molly.
Benjamin and Madeline are my two favourite names ever!! Great choices!

Boys:
William- Excellent, Classic 10/10
James-Classic. 10/10
Jack-Little too common for my tastes, but it’s alright 8/10

Benjamin-Like this name a lot. 9/10
Max-This is my nephews name! 10/10
Henry-Cute, but becoming too common for my tastes 9/10
Johnnie-I’m guessing this is pronounced like Johnny, which i think of as only a nickname. 4/10
Girls:
Sadie-3/10
Lillie/Lily-WAY too common right now… 3/10
Charlotte-One of my all time favorites 10/10
Lucy-Also one of my favorites 9/10

William: 10/10 (one of those ultimate classics that grows up perfectly and can fit any type of boy or man…most of your choices for boys are like this, which is great!)
James: 9/10
Jack: 4/10 (John would be 10/10, though, with Jack as a nickname!)
Charles: 10/10
Benjamin: 9/10
Max: 5/10 (I’d prefer it as a nickname for Maximilian, or maybe Maxwell)
Henry: 10/10
Johnnie: 3/10 (too childish for a full name…why not John, with Johnnie as a nickname while he’s a little boy?)
Sadie: 6/10 (too country-sounding for my taste, but OK)
Lillie: 5/10 (sounds pretty, but I don’t care for the spelling)
Lily: 9/10
Charlotte: 10/10
Lucy: 10/10
Gracie: 3/10 (too childish and informal…I’d prefer it as a nickname for Grace)
Clementine: 2/10 (too, too silly!)
Maggie: 3/10 (I’d love it as a nickname for Margaret, though…or Magdala…or Magnolia…)
Isabel: 9/10
Mabel: 10/10 (I love this…it has such old-fashioned charm!)
Mary: 10/10
Clara: 10/10
Lorraine: 10/10
Caroline: 10/10
Madeline: 10/10
Molly: 9/10
I love most of your names…my absolute favorites are William and Henry for a boy, and Lorraine and Mabel for a girl.
Brazen | Jan 15, 2010
I like Johnny (but spelled this way, it just makes more sense), Charles, James, Jack, and William
and then
Lillie (it’s real common but how can you not like it? I like it spelled this way best), Charlotte, Grace (not Gracie), Maggie!, Mabel (maple syrup, though…and reminds me of grandmothers, also. But it appealed to me at first, so idk. It’s a kind of amusingly ridiculous and somehow cute name.), Mary (I just love it), Molly (always sweet), Madeline (it’s very common though), and Caroline (but it’s just okay).
The only ones I really don’t like are Gracie, Clementine, Henry, Lucy, Lorraine and Clara.

Out of your boys names I like James, Charles, Benjamin, and Henry. William is okay but I prefer Liam. I don’t really like Johnnie or Jax. Max is alright.
For girls Charlotte, Lucy, Clara, Caroline, and Madeline are my favorites. Sadie and Isabel are cute too. I don’t like Lily, Clementine, Maggie, Mabel, Mary, Lorraine, or Molly. Gracie is a nickname… Grace is alright though.

I love Jack. It’s classic, and it’s simple. I also like William because it’s classic and simple too and because you can use the nickname Will and that’s really cute! I absolutely LOVE Lilly! That’s what I’m going to name my daughter if I have one, haha
